OstroVit Folic Acid
Folic acid is involved in the synthesis of nucleic acids, from which DNA, our genetic matrix, is produced. It therefore regulates the growth and function of all cells. Folic acid, in combination with vitamin B12, is involved in the formation and maturation of red blood cells and is therefore hematopoietic. Furthermore, folates contribute to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy and support the maintenance of homocysteine metabolism.
